I'm a huge Manson fan, but you're right. Depeche Mode somehow makes this more chilling and... fulfilling than Manson's.

Manson and Cash's covers are both very good, but DM's original version is simply stunning. Haunting, too, for whenever I hear this on the radio I usually can't get it out of my head for hours, if not days.
Best line "Lift up the receiver/I'll make you a believer".
